Tara Darby is a photographer and ﬁlm maker. Her work focuses on relationships, emotions, people and place.
Her work effortlessly spans the worlds of fashion, portraiture, advertising and journalism.
Tara has a spirited documentary style; a personal and approachable emphasis that she applies to seemingly candid snapshots, allowing her to cultivate a working style ever adaptable to a multitude of subjects. Tara has travelled around the world on assignments and has a sensitivity and engagement with her subjects that has enabled her to work in many challenging situations ranging from documenting the aftermath of the earthquake in Pakistan to photographing the melting ice cap on a Russian ice breaker in the Arctic.
Tara has contributed to titles such as Another, Another Man, Vogue, Dazed and Confused, GQ Style, The Wire, The Observer, The Telegraph Magazine, W Magazine, V and The New York Times. She has also received commissions from Levis, Adidas, Nike, Nokia, Vision Express, Timberland, Orange, T-Mobile, BBH, EMI, Polydor, Virgin, Channel 4, and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Tara has just finished making her ﬁrst full length documentary, shot in New York and Utah, entitled Run It Out.
